Can You Get Rid of Your Monthly Mortgage Payment Years Sooner?
What is your biggest expense each month?
For most of us it is our mortgage payment.
Most of us would want to see that payment be off our plates in less than 30 years. Here’s the problem. If I make extra principal payments to my mortgage holder and then I need access to it later, say if I lose my job or have to take off time from work due to medical issues, I can’t get it back. I don’t qualify to get my own money back!
Here’s another problem. If I put my money into the walls of my home, is that money working for me? No, not at all. And if the housing market declines I lose that equity through no fault of my own. It is completely out of my control.
What if there was a better way that gave me more liquidity, use and control over those dollars? What if there way was a way to leverage those mortgage payments I have to pay anyway provide additional protection for my family to stay in our home in case something unexpected happened to me, provide a way to make my mortgage payments in case I became disabled, AND allow me to reduce the time I have to pay that payment all while building future assets for us to enjoy without the pressure to save more?
